Blueprint 2047: Logistics as the Backbone of a Developed India
Description

Despite its critical role, logistics still lacks formal industry recognition in many Indian states, limiting access to funding, policy support, and skill development. Bridging gaps in the National Logistics Policy and creating a unified multimodal framework with dedicated corridors are essential to strengthen the sector. Logistics is central to achieving India’s $5 trillion economy and Vision 2047 goals, with priorities on cost reduction, digital transformation, and infrastructure expansion. Simplifying regulations and improving speed and reliability will help India emerge as a trusted global supply chain hub and build a future-ready economy.

End-to-End Supply Chain Agility: Planning for Uncertainty and Speed
Description

Building agile S&OP models and using predictive demand tools are crucial to remain responsive amid supply and demand shocks. Breaking silos through cross-functional planning and integrating road, rail, air, and sea enable speed, savings, and sustainability. Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) support sourcing agility, but alignment with India’ s logistics infrastructure is vital. The shift from globalization to regionalization, intensified by recent India–US tariff developments, demands resilient networks supported by advanced tech like AI, control towers, and digital twins. Addressing infrastructure and regulatory gaps is urgent, while private players play a pivotal role. Together, these efforts position India to become a preferred global supply chain hub.
